When Love Comes wins Golden Horse award

Taiwanese spouse and children drama When Really like Arrives has won most effective movie at the Golden Horse awards - viewed because the Chinese-language Oscars - in Taoyuan, northern Taiwan.

Acclaimed Taiwanese director Chang Tso-chi collected his 2nd most effective image award for When Really like Arrives, which led the race with 14 nominations and took yet another two technical prizes.

"I need to thank my crew and my dad and mom. I didn't let them down," he explained at the ceremony.

Chang last won the coveted prize for that 2002 drama The most effective of Instances.

The most effective director award went to Taiwan's Chung Mong-hong for that Fourth Portrait about marriages of usefulness and domestic violence.

It was a surprise win for Chung, who noticed off favourites Chang and Hong Kong's Teddy Chen for Bodyguards and Assassins.

"I am so happy. It is this kind of a surprise. I considered director Chang Tso-chi deserved it extra," he explained as he collected his award.

The movie, which touched on other social troubles which include baby abuse and prostitution, also picked up awards for excellent Taiwanese movie of your 12 months and most effective supporting actress for China's Hao Lei.

Despite getting nominated for nine awards, Teddy Chen's movie only picked up 1 for most effective make-up and costume layout.
